Crisis Of Faith

Shout out to Pastor Keith Battle on his message entitled a crisis of faith. This is what I took from his message. And I put a major spin on it. John chapter 14: verses 1-6 reads...Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me. In verse 6 Thomas had a crisis of faith because he said to Jesus we don't know where you going and how can we know the way. And check this out Jesus answered him and said Thomas I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh to the father but by me. Some of might have a crisis of faith sometimes in our life. You might get tired of church and you don't want to go no more cause you saying to yourself, what for? This doesn't make sense. You've been to church and heard all these sermons about Jesus and you believe because you feel like you have to but you don't really understand it. And that makes you question God. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. The word of God is not for your own understanding. This is not saying you can't or shouldn't understand scriptures, it's saying that the word of God is not meant for your reasoning. In other words don't try to make sense of the word of God. All of the word of God doesn't make sense. I mean Jesus was born from a virgin.. What it's saying is trust in the Lord with all your heart. This may be one of the reasons you may have a crisis of faith. Because you get tired when God doesn't answer all of your prayers when you want him to. When you pray and ask God for something you may think you need it now and if you don't get it now you get upset and have a crisis of faith. God hears your prayers and he will answer all of them when he feels you really, really need it, he's always on time. Jeremiah 1:12 says I am ready to perform my word. John 16:24 says ask and you will receive. Matthew 21:22 says whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. John 14:14 reads if you ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 16:23 reads whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. The proof is in the pudding. Subscribe to this channel, like it, share it, and God bless.
